A rare, bespoke blend of WhistlePig Old World Rye chosen specifically by Tulsa Hills Wine Cellar.
WhistlePig's vanguard of finishing lies within this Old World Rye, aged 12 years. A Bespoke Blend Rye styled by Old World sensibilities at 86-proof. This whiskey is the marriage of three finishes, each with their own distinctive flavor profiles, hand selected and bottled exclusively for Tulsa Hills Wine Cellar. After maturing for 12 years in New American Oak, the spirit is divvied into one of three barrels - Madeira (55%), Sauternes (27%), and Port (18%), a custom marriage of the three finishes was selected by hand to create this unique, one of a kind blend. Finished to perfection and blended into a symphony of flavor.
Tasting Notes: Pleasurable notes of caramel, vanilla ,and winter fruit on the nose while the palate brings forth hints of rye spice, stone fruit and honey. Finishes long with lingering notes of dark chocolate, stone fruit, caramel and vanilla.
